Never Again

My mom and I did the flowers for a friend of mine's wedding on saturday May 1. It was the biggest, craziest wedding we have ever done and the whole time my Mom kept saying, "I am never doing this again!!"

Do you like my new car? I only got to drive it for 3 days. It was a rental to transport all the flowers paid for by the Bride. :)

This isn't even all the flowers we had.

34 vases we had to fill

Finished vases

So pretty

The entry way arrangement

The maid of honors bouquet

The boat and dock. They got married right on the water.

I didn't take any pictures of the arch we decorated or any of the finished products because at this point we were ready to jump off that dock. It turned out so beautiful and the families were very impressed at how beautiful the flowers were. Never again.

Here are some pictures I found of the wedding.

Summer...I mean spring days

We have been having fantastic weather this April and last week I took the kids to the Pirate Park in Oxnard to have some fun in the sun. I have mentioned this park before in a couple posts cause it is the coolest park ever and we love it.

Such a beautiful day. This is what I am going to miss.

Then we came back and had big sticks. Do you remember those?

It was as if everything in nature was simultaneously sighing. Ahhh.

Best parents ever

About 2 weeks ago Jared and I become the best parents ever. We took the kids to Disneyland yet again and no, we are never sick of it. We had decided to go early and leave early so we knew it was going to be a shorter day. We had lots of fun and did a lot of fun things and the boys were happy. On the way home Jared and I were discussing what we wanted for dinner. Jared and I really wanted to go to a place with a salad bar cause that is what we were craving but we didn't want to go to a boring place either because we wanted the all-you-can-eat variety. So we decided to take the kids to Chuckie Cheese's. So the kids got to go to Disneyland and Chuckie Cheese's all in one day!!! They were exhausted by the time their heads hit the pillow but well worth it. I think we belong in a hall of fame or something.

Only picture I took at Chuckie Cheese's cause I was busy enjoying my salad bar. And the pizza still is disgusting but the kids eat it.

2 weeks

Well, the time has almost come. Exactly 2 weeks from today we will be loading the moving truck and heading off to Utah. I will miss all of my CA friends and especially miss the beach, the awesome weather, Disneyland and all the other cool things we were just a car ride away from.  I think this is the end of an era. We don't think we will ever be back in CA to live again, but never say never.  We don't even have 2 weeks to enjoy ourselves before we move because my mom and I are doing flowers for a wedding and I have to pack and clean. Maybe Jared and I will be able to sneak away to Disneyland while my parents are here. :)

This is how not how Jared would pack the moving truck. He has his computer with him in his car so he can keep a close eye on it. :)

Spring Break

Our adventure begins Monday night the 29th of March. We just got word that a storm was going to come through Utah on wednesday and thursday so I had to make a snap decision and leave 2 days before I was planning to to beat the storm. After we got there for the next few days it rained and snowed!! So much for a warm spring break.

This is what I woke up to every morning for days!! It snowed almost 30 inches in the mountains!!

FRIDAY

On Friday we celebrated Jennifer's birthday and went to Chili's

Then we went back to the house to open presents

Mine was the best present. :) We watched it that night.

And we had yummy cupcakes.

SATURDAY

Then Conference rolled around on Saturday and we were lazy.

Quintin learned how to play Sudoku.

Then on Saturday between conferences we dyed eggs.

Quintin got more dye on himself than the eggs.

Our cute eggs.

My mom and I attempted to make bunny cakes for a fun Easter dessert.
It was a hit on Easter.

Jared flew in late Saturday night so he could join in the festivities. I'm not going to mention out near death experience. If involves a huge snowstorm and not being able to see.

SUNDAY

After Conference we had our Easter egg hunt.
This was Quintin's first year because last year he slept through it last year.

Ian would open the eggs and see if he liked what was inside. If he didn't he put it back for someone else to find. Quality not quantity. :)

Easter baskets!! Score!!

Getting ready for dinner. Jennifer and I are getting into the Easter spirit.

This picture says it all

The boys posing with their old man hats and golf clubs.

Quintin didn't want to take pictures anymore but we made him.

While the adults were chatting away after dinner the boys found a way to entertain themselves.

MONDAY
We took a family outing to Cabella's

Jared flew out tuesday night to get back to work.

After the weather cleared up we had a fun outing to Gardener's Village
Eating at Archibald's

Visiting the petting zoo

I splurged and bought them a donut

Having fun trying to find the ducks.

We drove back on Saturday after 12 long days of vacation. We were ready to go home so we could start cleaning and packing for the move. Hope you enjoyed out Easter montage!!

New post coming

I have been on vacation for the last 10 days so that is why I haven't posted anything for awhile. Don't worry, tomorrow will be a crazy long post with tons of pictures. :)
