Beach Bums

For the first time ever we have been taking advantage of living in California. We took the kids to the beach again and had a fantastic time!! We started out at the Ventura Harbor and played on the zip-line and played in the sand. Then the kids wanted to go into the water so we drove to Oxnard Beach and went in the water a little. Quintin wanted to get in on the action and he was not scare of the ocean one bit!! We had so much fun!! Thanks Aunt Heidi for letting us use your bathtub after out excursion!!

Dance Dance Revolution

A long time ago I made Jared buy me a DDR that plugs right into the TV so we didn't have to buy a PS3 for just one game!! I used it once but Ian was little and I kept stepping on him so I put it away for later use. I brought it with us to California cause I knew I would desire its company before long. For family night I decided to take it out and we could play that for the activity. Well, to make a long story short, Jared forgot the power cord in Utah and we had now batteries to run it. :( So maybe next time. The kids enjoyed the mat anyways.

Hooray!!!! For poo poo!

Ian went poo poo on the potty!! I can't believe it!! We on on our way!! He kept saying poo poo so Jared put him on the toilet and he went!! We took a picture of the after but we thought we shouldn't post it cause people might think it is gross. :)

I can never win

So the other day I ordered a toy box for the boys to fill ALL of their toys. If is doesn't fit in here we are getting rid of the other toys, and if they get more toys we get rid of more. Just so you know it is not us who are buying the boys these toys it is those grandparents!! Anyways, when we got it home....

It became the favorite toy!! I don't even know why I bother.

Swimming in Feb?

A friend of mine named Monique in Ventura has a indoor pool in her condo complex so we enjoyed a fun swim party this morning for Valentine's Days. Normally my husband works on Saturdays but he got today off so I couldn't spend the whole day with the girls. :( But I will enjoy the time I have to spend with my family. We had so much fun swimming the boys did not want to get out!!

I AM a good mom

Don't judge me; let me explain. We were visiting my husband's sister Katelyn who was puppy sitting for my kids' Aunt Heidi and Uncle Jordan.  Ian is normally really scared of Moose, the lighter puppy, but this day he go over his fears. He put himself in Moose's shoes who normally has to be locked up when my kids come but Lily doesn't because she doesn't bark loud. Anyways, after the kids were playing in the cage Ian learned to love the puppies even more. Quintin was just along for the ride, he liked the puppies from the start. :) Eventually they came out of the cage, don't worry. :) Just so everyone knows they went in of their own accord and were not forced in. They actually cried when we told them to come out.

My first pregnancy

I was tagged for this questionaire 3 times and I thought "I think that means I should do this," or I am the only person of a lot of my friends that have kids.

Yes, believe it or not. We were married 6 months and I really wanted to start a family so I could be a young mom.

Oh my gosh, it worked!! Crap, now I have to tell my family.

I had it so bad it was unbelievable. I actually threw up on on of my workers and I lost 10 lbs.

Actually, believe it or not, pickles. Really anything with vinegar. Then towards the end watermelon because it was so hot!

Living in a house that was under major construction!!

Boy

14. DID YOU WISH YOU HAD THE OPPOSITE SEX OF WHAT YOU WERE GETTING?
It was my first so I could have gone either way. We wanted a boy but would have been happy with either.

15. HOW MANY POUNDS DID YOU GAIN THROUGHOUT THE PREGNANCY?
20lbs. I lost 10lbs then gained 30lbs.

Yes, at my best friend Anna's house.

I knew about it.

18. DID YOU HAVE ANY COMPLICATIONS DURING YOUR PREGNANCY?
Oh yeah, do you really want to know? My body was not preparing for labor, it thought I wasn't even pregnant. I had to go through all this stuff to get my body going. Then Ian was almost too big they were prepping me for a C-section but we tried it the real way first, which worked but issued more complications. We survived, barely. The umbilical cord was wrapped around Ian's neck 3 times but because it was freakishly long he was just fine. I had to have minor surgery afterwards, My children have huge heads.

23 hours and 50 minutes

Funny thing is I drove myself. My husband was picking my mom up from the airport.

My loving husband, my mom, the coolest nurse and Dr. Patruch

23. WAS IT NATURAL OR C-SECTION?
Natural, barely.

24. DID YOU TAKE MEDICINE TO EASE THE PAIN?
Yes the whole bottom half of me was numb, I loved it.

7 lbs. 12 oz.

It happened to me

I didn't even hear the kids get up this morning! When they do get up before me they normally come out and play with their toys until I get up. Today they didn't leave their room. They are currently sleeping in the den/catchall room so it is very crowded. Ian had found my present wrapping station and found my scissors. I can't believe he even found hair to cut!! Now I have to really buzz his hair short!! I can't believe I am already one of the those moms!! At least he is a boy. If he was a girl this would have been harder to cover up. :)

This was after he got in trouble and was punished.

Why are they obsessed?

I don't know what it is with dishwashers and 1 year olds. Ian was the same way and now Quintin!! He has radar and knows when I am either loading or unloading the dishwasher. he normally plays with the silverware, no big deal, but the other day he actually crawled on top!! I could not believe it I had to grab my camera, like any other mom would have done, right? 

At least these were dirty but some time he does it with clean ones!!

Happy Groundhog's Day

I was trying to figure out how to celebrate Groundhog's Day with my kids and we came up  with the tube idea. Groundhogs live in holes so we made a hole to climb through.  Look at my cute little groundhogs. 

This groundhog saw her shadow too. With winter like this I don't mind 6 more weeks. :)
