A day in the life of a stay at home mom.

I thought I would share with you a typical day in my life.

First I wake up and get the family fed with a yummy breakfast.

Then I read the kids a book and make a fun craft.

Then we make dinosaur cookies.

Next, we enjoy a dip in the pool. We take a shower afterwards but I don't want to post a photo of that. :)

Then it is piano practice time for the boys. Quintin is already on level 2!!

Then we pose for pictures with Auntie Katelyn

Then friends come over and we play in the backyard.

Then I go out for all you can eat sushi with my friends.

Then we play at the play place at the mall.

And of course ride the rides that cost $2 for 30 seconds of fun.

Then we go visit the dogs at the pet store.

Next it is off to Build-a-bear for some fun!!

After a short stop at See's candy we drive to the park.

We play at the park for an hour before dinner.

Than we eat a yummy dinner of Swedish meatballs and mashed potatoes.

Then it is bath time. And off to dreamland with no complaints. :)

After the kids are in bed I usually watch my shows or go out for a girls night~ Yeah, fairly typical day. :) NOT!!

Some privacy please!!

I bet you thought I was making my blog private huh?
Well, the other day we found a perfect secluded section of beach in/around Malibu and we call it our private beach. It is in a cove and the only way you get to it is from the top. Don't worry, there are stairs to get down to it. It is just big enough for one family to be there so its kind of a first come first serve basis. :) We tried to go early to hit low tide but we ended up almost being there for high tide!! The water was getting pretty close to us and Quintin was freaking out!! But all in all we had fun on our private beach!

Quintin investigating

Setting up and shoes off

Quintin wanted nothing to do with the water. He was safe on mommy on the blanket

Ian decided to go rock climbing!!

Making sand castles

Sitting on the rock. :)

I'm safe if I am back here. :) Far away from the crashing waves.

Brought to you by the letter "C"

Some of you may or may not know but I am part of a preschool Co-op. Today was my turn. We did the letter "C". So we were crawling, being crocodiles, playing with cars, reading the Hungry Caterpillar book, made a caterpillar craft, learned our colors, colored with crayons and made a cereal necklace!! For snack we had cookies, cupcakes, cucumbers, chocolate animal crackers and Capri sun drinks. I am so tired. That was the longest 2 hours of my life!! I forgot to take pics while they were actually doing the craft cause I was helping them. Good thing it is not my turn for 4 weeks!!

Bubble gum uh oh

Ian is going through a stage where he like to act out things he sees on TV. He was watching something where the kids were chewing gum and blowing bubbles. He asked me for some gum and I gave him some. Anything to keep him out of the kitchen while I was cleaning it. Well he tried to blow a bubble. Didn't work. He kept spitting it out. Then on the show the bubbles got so big they popped all over the kids. So Ian took the gum out of his mouth and put it in his hair. Now I know I could have used peanut butter or baby oil but I wanted to teach him a lesson. He hates getting his haircut so I made him go to the back yard and we buzzed his hair. I don't think he will do that again. :)

Girls night in?

For girls night out this month in my moms group we broke all the rules. It is supposed to be moms night out but we stayed in. It is supposed to be moms only and there was a husband and a kid. (Husband happened to be home from work but he stayed in his room and only came out to take pictures). But we stuffed ourselves full of chocolate fondue and things we dipped in there. It was super yummy.

House of Blues

So last night I had a killer girls night out. My friend Amie and I headed down to Hollywood in her yellow corvette. This is not a pic of hers cause I forgot to take a pic with it and us but I will next time. We headed down to the House of Blues on the sunset strip in Hollywood for a song writers showcase featuring some of the best country song writers of all time: Amiee Mayo, Chris Lindsey, Kellie Pickler, and Bob DiPiero. We got to have a private performance for just the VIPs. Even though I have no clue who half the people were last night I met a lot of influential people in the music biz. After the private show we got to go upstairs to the VIP area to watch the real show and had yummy treat all for free!! I love knowing people in high places!! Enjoy the pics. It was dark so sorry some of the pics look weird. I had so much fun with my girl Amie!!!
