Beat the Heat

Okay. So this morning I broke down a bought a pool!! Killer deal cause all the summer stuff is on sale. Why? I have no idea cause it is still summer!! The boys had so much fun playing in it. We only filled it up with about 5 inches of water and they still had fun!! It was a lot bigger then it looked on the box!! Hopefully this will last us the rest of summer.

Bubble Bubble Toil and Trouble

I should never going to the Disney store because every time we leave with something. This time Ian wanted a bubble machine and I thought "Cool, now I don't have to sit outside and blow bubbles", so I got it!! It was only 6 bucks normally $15.50!! I couldn't pass it up and it has proved hours of fun already!! And yes I know, my kids are never fully dressed at home. It's too hot to wear clothes. Oh the joys of being a kid.

Where is Quintin?

A couple of day ago before bed time I was giving the boys a little snack and normally I just ket them run around with the otter-pops in the back yard but they had already taken a bath so I didn't want them going outside. Ian sat at the dining room table and I put Quintin in his chair. With Quintin contained I though it would be a perfect time to update the blog, check e-mail, go on facebook, etc. Well, about a half and hour later I start looking around and I can't find Quintin!! Ian is sitting on the couch watching Duck Tales with Jared. I am running through the house and looking outside frantic to find my baby and only thinking the worst. I didn't even check the kitchen because there was no noise coming from there. When I can back I went in there and this is what I saw....

I had totally forgotten about him, so he went to sleep. I felt so bad.

Santa Barbara Zoo

Grandma Pollock took us too the Zoo yesterday!! It was the most beautiful day and we all has so much fun!! We got to feed the giraffe and it was cool but gross. The kids were so well behaved. Quintin got hurt sliding down the hill and I got it all on video. I was too busy recording the fall that I didn't catch him. :( Bad mommy. Can't wait to go again next year!!

I say tomato...

Isn't it amazing what can grow in a garden!! Now you know why I don't like tomatoes!! I mean, look at that face....a face only a mother could love. :) My grandpa found this tomato this morning and took a big chunk out of the side before I could take a picture. Too bad cause I bet I could have sold it on ebay. :)

Alaska Trip

We just got back form an amazing cruise to Alaska. Just kidding. My parents and my brother and his wife just came back. We got souvenirs. :) I though I would post some pictures of the cute shirts they got. I also got a forget-me-not bracelet and a cute moose ornament and a totem pole magnet. We also got other goodies, too. Thanks mom and dad!! I hope you didn't feel too guilty going without us.

Quintin spilled a whole cup of water on himself just after I had taken the pictures. :)

4th of July

This year we were able to escape the 80 degree weather and go to a place where it was almost 100 degrees. What were we thinking? But it's okay, we were with family so that makes it all better. We barbecued and spent most of the day in the pool. And what would 4th of July be without the kayaks!! The kids love being in the "boat". I didn't take that many pictures this year because I mostly was using our video camera. I am not putting any home movies on here because most if the stuff I captured is really embarrassing. Katelyn, I'm talking about you!! Enjoy what photos I managed to take!!

We managed to make it home for the Thousand Oaks fireworks show!! We could see them from out on our lawn!! Too cool!!
