Berry Family Reunion

I don't know why I was so slow to post this but last Sunday we drove all the way to Fish Lake, Utah (about 2 1/2 hours) to attend the Berry family reunion aka Jared's Dad's Mom's side of the family. It was so beautiful there on the lake. We had church in a cute log building before the reunion started.

The ceiling of the building we met in for church.

The boys helping put away chairs

Beautiful Fish Lake

Waiting for the reunion to start

There were tons of crafts for the kids to do

Quintin not knowing where to begin

Ian's cool hat he made

Quintin was pouting because he wanted to play in the river but it made be nervous to have him leaning over a bridge over rushing water.

He was happy when they brought out the pinata

Ian taking a turn

All the cool stuff he got

Quintin went only for the candy and no toys

On the way back we went a different way so we could got through Manti to see the temple. When we got there we asked Ian where we were and he knew it was a temple!! Then he said, "The temple makes me happy." I love my boys.

The only pic of me for the day. I am always behind the camera.

Eating candy on the way home

I think he got more on him then in him :)

We had such a wonderful time visiting with the Berry side of the family.  Can't wait for the next one.

Cascade Springs

Last Saturday we went for a ride around the Alpine Loop and went to Cascade Springs to walk around. It was really hot so we didn't stay there long but here are a few pics of the adventure. Jared took some more on his phone but I don't have them right now. I'll add them on later.

Temple Square Adventure

We decided to go up to Salt Lake as a family and visit Temple Square. To make it even more fun we decided to take the bus/trax to get there. That was an adventure in and of itself!!

Waiting for the bus. There were 2 buses that came before the bus we needed and Ian said, "we missed the bus!" Then when the second one left he said, "we missed the bus again!!"

On the bus.

Jared was at the front of the bus with the strollers.

On the TRAX. If you don't know it's like an above ground subway.

TRAX fun!!

When we got to Salt Lake we went to the Gateway Mall to eat lunch. It took an hour and 45 minutes to get there. :) If we drove with no traffic it would take about 40 minutes.  But where is the adventure in that?

The Tabernacle

We stayed for the cool acoustics demonstration where a Sister missionary spoke without a microphone, tore a piece of paper, dropped straight pins and a nail. Amazing!!

Assembly Hall

Inside assembly hall looking at the stained glass.

In the South visitor center they have a cool diorama of the Salt Lake Temple so you can see how all the rooms fit into the temple.

Inside the temple.

My cute boys

Jared showed Ian the temple doors.

It was a beautiful day.

The Christus at the other visitor center.

The I am a child of God exhibit at the Museum of Church History and Art. Making stain glassed windows.

Building a Temple

They had a hospital nursery(random) so you can play with the babies and play doctor. My boys could care less about the babies. They wanted the doctor stuff!!

Quintin would not stand still so that is why he is blurry in everything.

Pioneer house

I am so blessed I live in this day and age!!

Then we got back on the Trax/bus and headed home. What a fun family adventure we had!!
