Happy St. Patrick's Day

Since my children are part Irish (not me at all) I thought it would be a good idea to "celebrate" St. Patrick's Day with our family. Ian kept telling me, It's not Patrick's day it's Sponge Bob Day. Once again another thing that too much TV has ruined. :) Anyways, I am fully against corned beef  as well as dying your food an unnatural color so we went with stuffed bell peppers for dinner. The boys actually loved it!! I have to admit I was a little worried if they would even try them but they did, and it helped if you hold dessert over their heads. For dessert we had green lime sherbet with 7-UP. Super yummy. Oh and some "homemade" shamrock cookies. All in all we had a fun and memorable dinner.

5 years and counting

I can not believe that it has been 5 years since I married my best friend.  It all started the week I got home from my mission. I didn't think I would meet my future husband so soon but when it is meant to be it is meant to be. The first time I saw Jared was at a movie night at a mutual friends house. I had gotten up to leave because I had to be somewhere early the next day. After I stood up I saw him sitting with his back against the couch and my heart skipped a beat. Since I had already gotten up to leave I couldn't exactly sit back down again, so I took my chances and left and hoped I would see him again. Well as luck would have it I did see him again that following Thursday and Friday and Sunday. Then he went out of town to Mammoth for a week and didn't tell his family about me at all. After he got back into town we had our first official date to Santa Barbara and we spent every day together since that day. We got married March 11, 2005 for time and all eternity in the Los Angeles Temple.
No here we are 5 years later celebrating with 2 kids!! A lot can happen in 5 years. I love you Jared.

This is my 20 lbs bouquet. My arms we super buff after carrying it round all day.

I had to throw in a picture of my cake because it was so yummy and we designed it ourselves!!

It's My Party

I was able to host a Pampered Chef party for my favorite Pampered Chef consultant, my sister in law, Katelyn!! I had so much fun looking at all the cool cooking stuff and even more fun eating the yummy food made from that stuff!! Thanks to some very generous friends that came to my party I get to buy some cool stuff!! I can't wait for my Utah party!! Even if you don't want to buy anything it is still so much fun to go and learn about different things!! Thanks Katelyn!!

Utah, again

I just got back from a quick trip to Utah. It was a very packed trip where I was able to get a lot done in preparation for our move up there in May. The kids were very well behaved on the drive. I am so lucky they love to travel. I was sad there was no snow there because I wanted to take the kids sledding. :( But the boys got haircuts and we took them bowling, again. Afterwards we spent almost 2 hours at Mcdonalds!! They have so much fun playing there. Now I have to pack some more for the next trip in April. I am bringing stuff up with me so we have less to pack on the moving truck.

Disneyland by myself

On Feb 17 I got to go to Disneyland without my family!! It was really weird but I had so much fun with Amie who has been my friend since junior high!! We went to celebrate her 29th birthday. :) I had so much fun!!

We're gonna sco-o-ore tonight!!

Every time I think about bowling I think about that scene from Grease 2. :) Hence the title of the blog. Anyways we tok the boys bowling for the first time last night and they loved it. It was a work party for Jared's work so we didn't stay long; we only bowled half a game before we needed to get home and get the kids in bed. They loved every minute of it and we need to take them again during the day someday soon.

Sick and Tired

This past week we have all been sick. Ian got a cold and recovered quickly but Quintin got a cold that turned into pneumonia.  I knew something was wrong when he was getting worse instead of getting better like Ian. But we got him on his antibiotics and he is doing much better. He had to get a shot in his bum but he got a sucker and a bear for being such a brave boy. Now that everyone is feeling better it is Mommy and Daddy's turn to be sick. :(
